Fun in the Snow!

The kids didn't have school today. While the day off wasn't weather related, we still had lots of snow! Here is a shot of the kids this morning, enjoying the opportunity to sleep in in mommy and daddy's bed. These days are few and far between! They look like they love each other. (They REALLY Do!) Mornings like this, I wish I didn't have to work. I wish the kids and I could just cuddle up in the bed all morning. Some day, God may bless us to that point, but for now, I just bring on the kids, and we enjoy our day with others!!I am learning how darn difficult it is to get three kids to look at the camera at one time. Taylor is ALWAYS looking at the camera, Toby is RARELY looking at the camera, and Drew is USUALLY making a face! So this is the best shot... out of about 5!
This is one of the little guys I babysit. He's like a brother to my kiddos, as he is here all day Monday through Friday. He's a good kid, and was loving being in the snow!
And this is his sister. While she is usually at school, she, too is like a sister to the kids. She kept making faces at the camera, but I did get a good one of her... without snow in her mouth! I kept warning her about what she was eating, but every time I turned around she was eating more. Hope she doesn't have a sore belly this weekend! (At least the dog isn't ever in the front yard!!)
And here's the neighbor boy... another brother to my kids. He's Taylor's age, so they have grown up together these past 5 or 6 years and have become pretty good kids. He DID NOT want his picture taken, but I still got a good one of him!

So, another day off and another day of snow. I don't think we've gone to school more than one "full week" since Christmas! The kids are getting a little spoiled!
And for good measure, here is one of Toby in Daddy's shoes! I just love it! He loves putting everyone elses shoes on. When it's time to leave the house, we can never find our darn shoes, and everyone says "TOBY!" We always know who the culprit is!

ANOTHER Snow Day!

WHAT TO DO WITH A WAKEBOARD WHEN AWAY FROM THE OCEAN!!
Here's about half the group of kids that spent the snow day at our house! Ella, Macie, Toby and Allison. These are some of the children I watch! This is how Drew loves to spend his Snow Days. Good thing he has a limit, or he would seriously do this all day. I did, however, extend the amount of time he was allowed to play. Afterall, isn't that what snow days are all about?!?

What a great way to spend $18.00! When I was at Ikea store a few weeks ago, I saw this tunnel and had to have it! I had one of these as a kid, and have so many memories of playing in it! The kids at our house have had just as much fun as I remember. Here, Toby and Ella are on top and Allison is inside the tunnel! Hours of Fun!!

Once all the babysitting kids left (they didn't have snowsuits and gloves) Taylor and Toby and Drew headed outside for some fun in the snow... while I shoveled of course! Here is Taylor all suited up... What a beauty!

And Here is Drew, you can see the snow flying! The kids made a fort, an attempt at a snowman, Taylor made her hill to slide down with her Wave Board. They were very sad when I had to call them in for dinner. But they quickly got excited, when they saw the steaming hot chocolate on the table for them!! Too bad Taylor snuck and ate all the marshmallows earlier in the week, that would have really topped it off!

All in all I think the kids had fun on their snow day! They were very disappointed to wake up this morning and find out they had school, even though the roads were WORSE! But that's a post for another day!

Cavs Game

Nate and Drew got an opportunity to go to a CAVS game yesterday! Not just any Cavs game, but the first with the new players!! They won by 20 points! They had so much fun! (Oh Yeah... and Nate got new glasses! Aren't they awesome!!)
After the game, kids got to go down and shoot a basket. Drew was thrilled! Here he is gearing up to shoot the ball, too bad someone was standing right in the way! He received a nice polaroid of this as well, and it turned out better, but he took it to school today to show off!

Here is Drew playing some Parks and Rec basketball this winter. He enjoyed it! Here he's playing some tough D against his friend Skylar.

And I had to include some of Toby as well. He was a domestic little guy this weekend! While I was making dinner one night, here he is "washing the dishes". He had lots of fun, and mommy had lots to clean up!! You can tell how wet his shirt was!

This was too darn funny not to capture on film. He was using the swiffer, without a cloth on it, he had his sunglasses on and was wearing Taylor's Soccer goalie gloves! This kept him entertained for a good 20 minutes! Even with all the silly... he's so darn cute!!

No new pictures of Taylor! She's playing indoor soccer right now, and it is impossible to get good pictures in there, they have plexiglass around the field, and spectators are sitting up high, it's just not easy. So, let's just say they are doing great. They are undefeated, and Taylor has had a few goals! She has three more weeks of games, but will miss one because of Winter Retreat at church. She also got a speaking part in the Children's Choir program coming up in April. We are keeping our eyes out for Ohio Light Opera auditions. She is really hoping to get involved in that again this summer.

So that's the scoop on the Mills! TWO WEEKS UNTIL FINALIZATION!!! I will have lots of pictures from that for sure!!

Mommy & Me Dance

Drew and I went to our second Mom and Me Dance. This years theme was All Star, so it was kinda nice to be able to go in something comfortable (you all know how much I like to dress up!) It was nice, but it may be our last time going. Drew is not into it at all. I guess he's just too cool for his mom.

I had to include this photo. Drew WOKE UP like this! Crazy haired kid! He loves to have his hair in a mohawk, and he got his wish. He wore it to school like this, but it was flattened by the time he got home at noon.

I needed to throw in a few new ones of Toby, just because!! This boy's smile can light up my day! Of course when he has his "grumpy pants" on... look out!

And here is a photo of my sleeping angel! Isn't he beautiful!! He sleeps with his blank blank, and it's always touching his face. He either has it on his cheek, or often times, wrapped around his head like a scarf. It's so darn cute.

We did get the papers on his court date, and we will be finalizing on March 10th at 2:30!! I can't wait and I can't believe it!! God is so Good! We go to Summit County, so we plan on taking the older kids out of school at 11:30, have some lunch at a nice restaurant (yet to be determined) and go to the hearing. After, we are hoping to go to Inventure Place and have some fun family time! We have room for 10 people to be in the court with us, if anyone wants to come, let me know. It looks like our family will only take up 2-3 places!!
